The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, under the leadership of Chairman Hon. Warman Ogoriba, remains unfazed by opposition parties' expectations of an internal crisis, which Ogoriba has dubbed a "pipe dream." During a meeting with state and local government coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), led by Chief Tiwei Orunimighe, Ogoriba emphasized that the party's recent congresses were characterized by peace and unity. He expressed the party's commitment to supporting the RHA and other campaign organizations ahead of the 2027 elections, likening them to a "fuel station" essential for a successful campaign. Ogoriba's message was clear: the party is operating with transparency and has begun engaging with stakeholders to prevent discord. Those anticipating an implosion within the APC will be disappointed, he warned.
Ogoriba reiterated the party's support for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) and other campaign organizations in the state, acknowledging their crucial role in driving a successful campaign and securing victory for President Bola Tinubu and other aspirants in the 2027 elections. He described the campaign organizations as vital "fuel stations" needed to propel the party to success. Ogoriba urged the RHA and other political NGOs to remain vigilant, stressing that a unified effort between the party and these organizations would yield landslide victories in all elections. He encouraged the groups to promote peace, unity, and cohesion within the party, emphasizing the importance of a collaborative approach.
Earlier, Chief Tiwei Orunimighe, leader of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), commended the newly elected party executive in the state for their willingness to engage with NGOs and forge a strong partnership ahead of the 2027 polls. Orunimighe drew an analogy between the APC and the NGOs, likening the party to a parent and the NGOs to its children, as the party prepares for President Bola Tinubu's re-election campaign. He affirmed the RHA's commitment to campaigning for President Tinubu, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the party and NGOs. Orunimighe noted that national directives mandate NGOs to work in tandem with party structures, predicting a resounding victory for the party if this collaboration is achieved.
Orunimighe informed the party leadership about the RHA's presence and readiness to support the party's efforts, encouraging them to utilize the organization's resources without hesitation. The RHA delegation, led by Orunimighe, included local government coordinators such as Kuro Matthias Nyenye (Nembe), Dr. Godson Torukuru (Yenagoa), Uroh Kiani (Brass), and Engr. Biewari Orupeighe (Southern Ijaw). Other coordinators in attendance were High Chief Okubokakpo Ombu (Sagbama), Chief Ebinyo Turner (Ogbia), Rt. Hon. Tonye Isenah (Kolokuma/Opokuma), and Hon. Orubebe Ogeibiri (Ekeremor). The meeting underscored the party's and the RHA's shared commitment to working together to achieve success in the upcoming elections.
