Vehicle accident claims lives of three people in Kano

A truck used for transporting goods has rammed into a parked trailer in Imawa town, Kura Local Government Area of Kano State, crushing three to death.

Available information from the area revealed that the accident occurred on Monday, when the driver of the truck reportedly lost control and rammed into the trailer parked by the roadside due to mechanical fault.

An eyewitness, Zailani Umar Imawa, said that after the crash, they quickly rushed to the scene of the incident and found three occupants of the truck in critical condition.

“We were sitting when we saw the truck used for transporting goods crash into the trailer. When we got to the scene, we saw that the three people inside the truck were in critical condition.

“The victims were later taken to a hospital by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). However, they were confirmed dead after arrival at the medical facility.

“Two other victims were unable to move their bodies after the crash, while another was calling for help before they were taken away for treatment,” the eyewitness Imawa said.

At the time of filling this report, the identities of the victims and owners of the truck had not yet been confirmed.

Similarly, the FRSC in Kano had yet to issue any official statement regarding the incident.
