Tonto Dikeh expresses gratitude to ex-husband Churchill for giving her the gift of motherhood

Tonto Dikeh, a Nollywood actress who has turned to evangelism, expressed her deep gratitude to her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, in a heartfelt message on Mother's Day, which she shared on Sunday.

Through her Instagram Story, Tonto Dikeh conveyed her appreciation to Churchill for giving her the precious gift of motherhood, which she described as "the most beautiful part of my story".

In her message, she also affectionately referred to Churchill as her friend and wished for God's blessings upon him and his mother, stating "Thank you, my Gee, for making me a mother, one of the most beautiful part of my story, and happy mothers day to your amazing mother, God bless you, Big Church".

Tonto Dikeh responded to her critics, who felt she was being overly generous with her praise for her ex-husband, by emphasizing that her gratitude stems from a deeply personal place and will not be influenced by public opinion.

She further implied that she and Churchill now enjoy a healthy co-parenting relationship, as she wrote "Doing to much? For the only man who has put a child in me? The world is truly a sick place, and I’m gratefull don’t let your opinions direct me".

In another statement, she expressed her sentiments by saying "When e reach your turn don’t thank them, how wld you understand the meaning of joy/peace that makes no sense, how wid you understand healthy Co-parenting, if I don’t show you all".

Tonto Dikeh and Churchill were previously married, but their relationship came to an end in a highly publicized split in 2017.

Despite their tumultuous past, Tonto Dikeh recently revealed that they have now "buried the hatchet" and moved on.

Churchill went on to marry Rosy Meurer, his former personal assistant, in 2021, and the couple welcomed their first child in March 2021.

The couple also had their second child in October 2022, expanding their family.

In 2023, Churchill dismissed rumors that suggested there were problems in his marriage to Meurer, addressing speculation about their relationship.
