Chief Inko: Attacks on Tompolo Are Attacks on the Ijaw Nation

A foremost Niger Delta activist, Chief Inko Brightstar, popularly known as General “WhoKnows Tomorrow,” has declared that Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, is not just a man but an institution whose legacy, influence, and sacrifices for the Niger Delta struggle cannot be diminished by propaganda or politically motivated attacks.

Speaking over the weekend in a telephone chat with RealNaijaGist News, Chief Inko described Tompolo as a father to many, a stabilizing force in the Niger Delta, and a leader whose commitment to regional peace and economic protection remains unmatched.

Chief Inko, who serves as the National Publicity Secretary of the Presidential Amnesty Programme – Phase Three, and also the Coordinator of the Dr. Dennis Otuaro Volunteer Media Team in support of Dennis Otuaro, called on all Ijaw sons and daughters across the globe to remain united and appreciative of what he described as “a rare gift to Ijaw land.”

According to him:

“The name Tompolo is not just a name — it is an institution. If we had just one of his kind in every Niger Delta state, the Ijaw Nation would have advanced beyond its present condition.”

WARNING AGAINST MEDIA ATTACKS

Chief Inko strongly condemned what he described as deliberate media campaigns from certain quarters in Urhobo land calling for the termination of Tompolo’s surveillance contract. He warned that such actions are provocative and capable of heating up the polity.

“Respect must be reciprocal. If our leaders are attacked without justification, we will not fold our arms. Mutual respect among ethnic nationalities is the foundation of peaceful coexistence in the Niger Delta.”

TANTITA’S IMPACT IS VISIBLE AND MEASURABLE

Defending the operations of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Chief Inko stated that the company has significantly reduced oil theft, pipeline vandalism, cult-related violence, and other forms of criminality across the Niger Delta region.

He emphasized that through local engagement and employment of youths, Tantita has contributed meaningfully to restoring stability and economic confidence in oil-producing communities.

“The results are clear. Oil theft has declined. Criminal activities have reduced. The Niger Delta is more stable today because of proactive security engagement. These achievements cannot be ignored.”

CALL FOR UNITY AND RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP

Chief Inko urged leaders across the Niger Delta to promote unity, dialogue, and responsible engagement rather than divisive rhetoric. He stressed that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation.

He concluded by praying for continued strength, protection, and elevation for Tompolo, expressing confidence that history will vindicate those who stand firmly for the progress and dignity of the Niger Delta people.
