The National Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (Third Phase), General Elaye ThankGod Dollar Slaboh, has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Pastor Peter Peretubo Akpe on his elevation to the esteemed position of Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State.
General Elaye described the elevation of Peter Akpe from his former role as Chief of Staff to the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, as well deserved and divinely orchestrated. According to him, Pastor Akpe has remained a committed and dedicated servant to the administration, demonstrating unwavering loyalty, capacity, and leadership.
He further highlighted Pastor Akpe’s wealth of legislative and administrative experience, having previously served as a member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and Leader of the House. General Slaboh noted that such experience has adequately prepared him for the greater responsibilities that now lie ahead.
In his remarks, General Elaye Slaboh emphasized that leadership ultimately comes from God, stating that when one’s time is right, elevation becomes inevitable. He urged all other aspirants and stakeholders who may have sought the same position to embrace peace, unity, and collective responsibility in the overall interest of Bayelsa State. According to him, what the state needs at this critical time is harmony of purpose and shared ideas that will accelerate meaningful development.
The PAP Chairman prayed that God grants the newly appointed Deputy Governor greater wisdom, strength, and divine guidance to effectively complement Governor Douye Diri and ensure the continued success of the administration.
This congratulatory message was conveyed through the National Publicity Secretary of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (Third Phase), Chief Inko Brightstar, popularly known as “ General WhoKnows Tomorrow.”
In the same vein, General Slaboh joined family members and associates at Ayalla Hotel, Yenagoa, to celebrate with the immediate elder brother of the Deputy Governor in honour of the occasion.
