The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated mothers on the occasion of Mothering Sunday, praising their contributions to family life and national development.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Lagos APC spokesman Seye Oladejo commended women for their resilience, compassion and guidance, noting that mothers play a crucial role in nation-building.
According to the party, the day provides an opportunity to honour the love, sacrifices and strength of mothers who continue to nurture families and shape society.
“Today, we pay glowing tribute to the extraordinary women who nurture homes, shape values and raise the next generation of leaders,” the statement said.
It added that mothers remain the backbone of communities, contributing not only within the family but also in governance, enterprise, education and community development.
“The Lagos APC recognizes and deeply appreciates the immense sacrifices mothers make daily to ensure the well-being, stability and progress of their families. Their resilience, compassion and guidance continue to inspire hope and strengthen the social fabric of our great state,” the statement noted.
The party also acknowledged the contributions of mothers across Lagos State who participate actively in commerce, public service, politics and grassroots mobilisation.
According to the APC, such efforts have been instrumental in sustaining the growth and prosperity the state enjoys.
“On this special day, the Lagos APC celebrates every mother—those nurturing young families, those mentoring communities and those whose wisdom continues to guide generations. We pray for continued strength, good health and fulfilment for all mothers,” the statement added.
The party further reaffirmed its commitment to policies and initiatives aimed at empowering women and mothers, enhancing family welfare and creating more opportunities for them to thrive.
“To all mothers in Lagos State and beyond, we say thank you for your immeasurable love and sacrifices,” the statement concluded.
