Philanthropist and content creator Mitchell Mukoro, known to her fans as King Mitchy, has issued a public apology for her recent online behavior, including an incident where she ingested a substance during a live stream.

King Mitchy addressed the public, as well as several individuals, including Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, in a video posted on her Instagram page on Thursday.

She expressed her willingness to be held accountable for her actions, stating "I'm ready to be held accountable for my actions" and acknowledging that she had disappointed many people, particularly young girls who look up to her.

King Mitchy specifically apologized for consuming a substance during a live video, saying "For the substance I took on live video, that was very wrong of me because there are young girls that are looking up to be me one day and I know I disappointed a lot of people."

She also apologized to Seyi Tinubu, saying "And my boss ST, I'm so sorry" and assured him that she would never take his support for granted, adding "I want you to know that I will never take your support for granted."

While kneeling in the video, King Mitchy apologized to Oba Ogunwusi, saying "I'm so sorry, sir, I'm so sorry for bringing your name into this, I'm so sorry, Daddy."

King Mitchy also reached out to VeryDarkMan, describing him as her "brother" and expressing regret for her previous behavior towards him, saying "You're fighting for Nigerians and we can make Nigeria a better place and I'm sorry for coming at you like that."

She acknowledged that she had gained a better understanding of VeryDarkMan's advocacy, stating "Maybe now I understand you better because I had to step back and understand the kind of person that you are and I see that you're fighting for a good cause for Nigeria to be better."

The apology comes after weeks of controversy that started in late February, when King Mitchy announced that she had renovated a run-down school within six days, sparking a heated debate about the possibility of quick change with genuine commitment.

VeryDarkMan responded to King Mitchy's remarks, accusing her of being used as a tool to improve the image of President Tinubu's administration, which led to a series of escalating events.

King Mitchy posted a private conversation with Oba Ogunwusi, claiming that "even this king" had contacted her, which sparked widespread debate and criticism online.

The situation intensified when VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu was sponsoring King Mitchy's charitable initiatives, leading to further backlash and the loss of her business Instagram account.

Drama unfolded during a live video session when King Mitchy, appearing distressed, consumed a substance believed to be bleach, prompting alarm and attempts by viewers to discourage her.

Her management announced her death in a statement, claiming she had passed away at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja, but later retracted the statement, revealing that King Mitchy was alive and recovering.

Prime Care Hospital had already denied the claim, stating that King Mitchy had neither been admitted to nor died at the facility, before the correction was issued.

Earlier, Seyi Tinubu had released a statement rejecting claims that he was connected to the dispute between VeryDarkMan and King Mitchy.
