A popular actress has joined a new church and is recommitting herself to her faith, taking it upon herself to perform a public 'deliverance' on a schoolgirl, with no teachers or parents present, and a media crew recording the event.

The actress's actions are a stark contrast to those of a General Overseer of a popular church, who has taken in young people with disabilities, including a boy with Autism, and has announced that the boy has a high libido, and has arranged for him to marry a widow with three children, in exchange for a generous financial reward.

The General Overseer claims the boy's age is unknown, but he has examined his genitals and believes they are not those of a small boy, a statement that is both ludicrous and disturbing, and raises serious questions about the boy's ability to give consent to the marriage.

A well-known female influencer has recently been exposed for faking a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis, and using a real cancer patient's medical report to appeal for financial support, and was grilled by journalists, doctors, and lawyers on Arise TV, revealing her brazen scam.

In a separate incident, a private school in Ibadan held an inter-house sports day, which was hijacked by parents who showed up in Aso-Ebi and performed a parade, turning the event into a cultural festival, rather than a celebration of the students' sporting talents.

A video has also surfaced of a female teenager twerking and grinding herself on a male adult at a school event, in the presence of other adults, highlighting a lack of discipline and accountability in the education system.

These five scenarios all point to a collapse in common decency and values, a lack of responsibility and accountability, and a blatant disregard for the well-being and safety of vulnerable individuals, particularly children and those with disabilities.

The actress's actions, in particular, are a clear contravention of the 2003 Child Rights Act, which prohibits all forms of exploitation and abuse of children, and her actions should be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The case of the young boy with Autism raises serious ethical questions about the treatment of individuals with disabilities, and the lack of infrastructure and support systems in place to care for them, and the fact that the General Overseer's solution was to marry him off to a much older woman, rather than providing him with appropriate therapy and rehabilitation.

The influencer's scam is not only a crime, but also a symptom of a larger problem of a lack of awareness and understanding of mental health issues, and the need for greater resources and support to address these issues.

The parents who turned their children's inter-house sports day into a cultural festival are a prime example of the kind of entitled and selfish behavior that is perpetuating the decline of values and discipline in society, and their actions should be called out and condemned.

The teenager who twerked and ground herself on an adult at a school event is a product of a system that allows discipline and accountability to be optional, and it is a warning sign of a larger problem of societal decay and moral bankruptcy.

We are all responsible for these systemic and systematic failures, and it is time for us to take collective action to address these issues, and to hold ourselves and others accountable for our actions, and to demand better from our leaders and institutions.

The government has laws and policies in place to address these issues, but they are hardly implemented due to a lack of political will, resources, and effective leadership, and it is time for us to demand more from our government and to work together to create a better society.

Faith-based organizations, corporate bodies, schools, traditional institutions, and civil society organizations must also play a role in supporting the government's efforts and in holding themselves accountable for their actions, and in ensuring that their activities are not in breach of extant laws and policies.

We must not stand by and allow children to be subjected to public abuse without intervention, or for young boys with disabilities to be married off to older women, or for vulnerable female children to be offered up for guardianship for a financial reward, and we must speak out against these injustices and demand action.

As a society, we must draw a line between entertainment and indiscipline, and we must concern ourselves with making better decisions and speaking up when we should, and our silence, inaction, and choices in the small things will matter when the big issues emerge, and it is time for us to take responsibility for our actions and to work towards creating a better future.
