CHIEF INKO TASK BAYELSA GOVERNOR TO MONITOR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES

A foremost Niger Delta Activist, Chief Inko Brightstar, popularly known as WhoKnows Tomorrow, has called on the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, to urgently checkmate what he described as the illegal and unlawful activities of some security agencies operating within the state.

In his words:

“To the Governor of Bayelsa State, who also serves as the Chief Security Officer of the state, it is my firm belief that more proactive measures are needed to address the illegal and unlawful conduct of certain law enforcement agencies toward our youths.

Our silence should not be taken for granted. It is deeply troubling that individuals entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding lives and property are, in some instances, contributing to unrest and fear within society.

Your Excellency Sir, it is imperative that you take heed of these concerns. We cannot afford to witness any more of our young people becoming victims of such actions. Our communities have endured enough over the past few months.

Timely intervention is critical. Addressing these issues promptly will help prevent further complications and restore public confidence in the security architecture of our state.”

Chief Inko Brightstar emphasized the need for constructive engagement between the government, security agencies, and community stakeholders to ensure peace, justice, and the protection of fundamental human rights across Bayelsa State.
