Bayelsa Bleeds as Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo Passes Away

RealNaijaGist reports that the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, has been confirmed dead hours after collapsing in his office on Wednesday, December 11.

According to reports, Senator Ewhrudjakpo collapsed at about 1:30 p.m. and was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa, where medical personnel made efforts to stabilize him. He was later confirmed dead.

Born on September 5, 1965, Senator Ewhrudjakpo was 60 years old. Sources say he maintained a demanding work routine over the years and was often described as a “workaholic” who rarely took time off to rest.

His passing has thrown Bayelsa State into mourning, with many expressing shock at the sudden loss of one of the state’s top public officials.
