Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake has shared a glimpse of his spiritual journey after posting a video of himself performing Umrah in Medina, Saudi Arabia.
In the clip shared on his social media page, the singer was seen offering prayers at Raudhatul Jannah, one of the most revered prayer areas in Islam, located within Al-Masjid an-Nabawi.
Raudhatul Jannah, often described by Muslims as the “Garden of Paradise,” is regarded as a sacred place for supplication and reflection during visits to the Prophet’s Mosque.
The singer accompanied the video with a short caption that read “Alhamdulillah,” a phrase commonly used by Muslims to express gratitude to God.
Fans reacted to the post right away, especially since it appeared months after a social media prophecy that said the artiste may someday become a Christian.
Many fans saw Asake’s Umrah pilgrimage as a personal manifestation of his Islamic religion, despite the fact that he did not directly address the rumours.
