The All Progressives Congress (APC) has given its assurance of being thoroughly prepared to host its national convention, as confirmed by the party's Venue Sub-Committee after conducting a final inspection of the venue on Thursday.
This inspection took place at Eagle Square, Abuja, and was led by the committee members, including Senator Simon Lalong, who serves as Vice Chairman of the Venue Sub-Committee, and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as the committee Chairman.
Senator Lalong, representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, issued a statement detailing the inspection, which involved assessing the level of work completed and interacting with contractors and officials managing various aspects of the preparations.
During the inspection, Senator Lalong and Governor Abiodun reviewed arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful convention, and afterwards, they expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, noting that significant progress had been made.
The committee members declared that the party is fully ready to host a successful national convention, following their thorough assessment of the preparations.
This visit marked the second time the team had visited the venue within a 24-hour period, demonstrating the committee's dedication to ensuring the convention's success.
Senator Lalong and Governor Abiodun praised the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for providing instrumental guidance and support in the planning of the event.
The APC National Convention aims to bring together party leaders, delegates, and stakeholders from across Nigeria to strengthen the party's unity and reposition it for future political engagements.
