America claims to have hit approximately 6,000 targets since the onset of conflict with Iran

On March 9, 2026, US President Donald Trump addressed the media during a press conference held at Trump National Doral in Miami, Florida, where he issued a warning to Iran regarding its potential disruption of oil supplies, which have seen a significant surge in price due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

A threat of escalated action was made by President Trump on Monday, stating that a larger attack would be launched against Iran if it were to block oil supplies, whose prices have skyrocketed as a result of the war in the Middle East.

The US military disclosed on Thursday that approximately 6,000 targets have been struck since the commencement of the war against Iran late last month.

The targets that have been hit include over 90 Iranian vessels, comprising around 60 ships and 30 minelayers, according to US Central Command, the entity responsible for overseeing American forces in the region.
