Fresh allegations have emerged against Assistant Superintendent of Police Nuhu Usman, who was arrested by the Delta State Police Command for the fatal shooting of 28-year-old musician Oghenemine, also known as OG Millan, in Effurun.
The Command confirmed ASP Usman's arrest on April 28, 2026, in connection with the killing, which occurred on April 26, 2026, during an operation by operatives attached to the Area Command, Effurun, who were acting on intelligence about a suspect with a firearm.
According to the police, the suspect, Mene Ogidi, was apprehended while trying to transport a Beretta pistol with four rounds of ammunition, but a viral video appears to contradict this account, showing the victim restrained and pleading for his life.
The video also shows the victim offering to cooperate with officers, with sources alleging that his hands and legs were bound before ASP Usman discharged his weapon.
The Delta State Police Command has acknowledged that ASP Usman violated Force Order 237 and standard operational procedures, prompting Commissioner of Police CP Yemi Oyeniyi to condemn the incident.
ASP Usman has been transferred to Force Headquarters in Abuja for disciplinary action and prosecution, according to CP Oyeniyi.
Following the development, more individuals have come forward to share alleged past encounters with ASP Usman, accusing him of abuse of power, harassment, and extortion.
One such account was shared on X by user @djParis, who alleged that she was assaulted and forced to pay N50,000 to ASP Usman during an encounter in 2023.
The incident occurred during a traffic hold-up when she boarded a commercial motorcycle, which was stopped by Usman and his team, who ordered her to disembark and proceeded to assault her with a firearm.
According to @djParis, ASP Usman made inappropriate and degrading remarks about her body, physically harassed her, and threatened her life, warning that she should be grateful the encounter happened during the day.
She recounted her experience, saying that ASP Usman asked her why her "ass was shaking" even though she was wearing trousers, and he touched her "yansh" as well.
ASP Usman allegedly hit her with a gun and dragged the bike man down, asking her to enter their shuttle bus, and hit her again with the gun, saying she should thank God it was daytime or he would have "wasted" her.
He demanded that she pay N50,000, and when she asked what crime she had committed, he said he would take her to the police station and they would deal with her if she didn't pay.
@djParis said she was forced to withdraw N50,000 from a POS and give it to them, and she cried and told ASP Usman that "earth would deal with him" for his brutality.
